Connecting Business and Youth
Top international students preparing to connect with business leaders at Junior Achievement’s Next Generation Leaders Forum
The world’s top youth leaders gathered at Junior Achievement’s Next Generation Leaders Forum at Saint Mary’s University on August 11-16. Over 125 students from across the globe connected with experts from business and academia to develop new perspectives, ideas and skill-sets during this unique, once in a lifetime opportunity. The 2013 Next Generation Leaders Forum concluded with the students participating in the Ultimate Business Challenge.
The forum theme, "innovation.insight.inspiration.", encouraged youth to solve real business challenges, gain insight on the world of business, and be inspired by academic and business leaders. On August 16, students presented their ideas on building sustainable communities to a panel of judges.
Next Generation Leaders attendees have been individually selected as top performers in the Junior Achievement Company Program, chosen to attend for their high potential and the opportunity to advance their career. These students are planning to embark on their post-secondary ambitions with specific interest in business-related careers.
The Next Generation Leaders experience is a unique blend of personal growth, practical experience and confidence building. Delegates face real business challenges and develop strategies in collaboration with their global peers, university faculty and industry volunteers. Having developed success skills that are essential to making their dreams a reality, delegates return to their schools and communities with a new perspective on what is possible.
Thank you to the 2013 sponsors!
